My hens are picking on just one hen. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify which hen is doing the pecking so I cannot isolate it to change the pecking order. I have purchased some things to entertain them to hopefully help solve this problem. They also definitely have plenty of space. However, our poor Martha is completely bare on her back and it is starting to get cold. I have heard of people making "coats" for their chickens to help prevent new pecking and help the feathers grow back. Does anyone have a simple pattern for these coats and good suggestions on material to use?
