Should I have the food and water inside or outside? Or both? My chicks won't sleep inside the coop they only go in to eat. I know we have a cold storm coming in a couple of days, should I lock them in to be safe? They are 11 weeks old.

thats a little young still, if they were older i would say you only need food and water in one spot but if its going to be cold where you are and they dont go in , i would lock them up in there at night for sure.

Thakyou- also do u know if I can give them kitchen scraps yet?
Like cucumber peels, tomatoes, bell peppers , etc- and do I need to chop then into small pieces?i have lots of questions and am new to this site. Just learning how to post things. Sorry if I'm doing it wrong. IDK

mama feeds them scraps from day one. you do need to make sure they have some grit first though. it is their "teeth" . there are a surprising few things that are poison to them. green potato peels i have heard is one. so a research on what not to give them would be good.
