There are 5 newly hatched 2014 chicks in my hand, we have some small chicks hatching, some of the smallest eggs we have every been able to hatch as well. To us SIZE does matter :} We don't breed big serama our goal is all breeders 250-350 grams.

Yep we got some nice breasts on these 2014 chicks, which we had on the females in the 2013 chicks, we are hoping these are the males, as we test our sex linked double breasted double recessive gene we are breeding for. The double breast gene is a sex linked gene, roos do not express it like the hens because it is female linked. These are our first chicks that represent double recessive to bred back to carrier, which gives us all double breasted female offspring, and all carrier males :}
Our 2014 chicks are on the Ground and look at that type !! Big forward breast, arched neck, nice wings, and centered feet, off to a good start, all these chicks are sire by our 12 ounce Crele roo that won Best Type. We will put about 100 chicks on the ground from him, then rotate his smaller brother in...well maybe.
