Can anyone recommend a good thermometer and hygrometer all in one that I can put into my incubator? I have a brinsea but there is no hygrometer with it and I am pretty sure the temp is off on it. My eggs always seem to hatch 2 or three days early.

This was only my second time hatching eggs. Guess i over reacted hahaha

so this is the last egg to hatch. This has been going on for about 12 hours. Every time the chick tries to break out it can’t. When should I start being concerned?

Thank you. I have an internal temp inside the incubator that I know was calibrated and the temps were off. Thanks again for your reply. 👍

The middle picture looks similar to some I have. I was told they are Saphire Gems.

We just did our first batch also my first time. Processed 43 birds and I got two 35 gallon garbage cans and filled with water and ice. Once chilled I dried off and put them in a fridge for 48 hours but I hear 24 hours is fine too.

I amaze myself sometimes. I found a video online and I just calibrated the incubator. Hopefully this fixes the problem.

Does anyone know why the high temp alarm keeps going off? My internal temp is 99.5 according to a internal therm I put In the incubator. All my high temp and low temp alarms are set to the default. code is -RM it goes off every 30 min and I just put the eggs in yesterday.

Probably upset for being out in a smaller area. If they are mostly feathered they should be fine depending on your climate. Anyway to put a heat lamp in their area at night? Let them use it if they need to?

I just put 8 Ameraucana eggs in the incubator. The roosters 3 of them are Easter Eggers that just hit maturity. I have seen them in the yard doing their business with the girls. What are the chances these eggs will be fertile? The roosters were hatched Feb 2 of this year. The Ameracana hens are...

Add a wet sponge to your incubator. It will raise humidity. You might need more than one sponge piece depending on how high it goes. You will also have to keep the sponge wet 2-3 times a day before it dries back out.

I am not emotionally attached to the meat chickens. Just some of my egg layers have a personality hahaha
