Her waddle is much redder than my other chicks but they are also different breeds. I tried to get a good shot of her comb. Any guesses would be appreciated. THANKS
Thank you all for your input. I will try to get out this weekend to pick up some flock raiser. Then give the unused portion of medicated to sister for her chicks. This will certainly make things easier.
Hi there, I have 5 adult hens and recently picked up 4 chicks. The chicks are 6 weeks old now. The chicks are on a medicated starter/grower and the big girls on laying mash. How can I get everyone fed properly without having to separate them for 18 weeks. I am sure I would need to discontinue...
I would agree water is going to be your biggest problem. I would have someone check in on them at least once. It will give you peace of mind to enjoy your trip. I know I would jump at the chance to check in on some baby chicks. Find a kid you can trust. :)
Have a fun trip.

My husband and I also just put an addition on to our already existing coop and run. Our first coop was a shed we...

Thanks. I sort of thought that but wanted to put it out there. I have been watching for any change in comb but haven't seen any difference.
Have you had cukoo before? If so are they calm or flighty. I also picked out a welsummer and a blue wyandotte. They don't cry as much when I pick them up...
