Very normal, your birds are working out their pecking order, which I think you well know.
Been raising birds for 30 years here's a few things I do.
1- separate them but let them see each other, they'll get use to one another by sight. If they can approach one another with wire between them...
I recently added two peahens , my peacock Ernie I thought would enjoy some companionship other than my laying hens. The blue hen does just fine the other is white, for some reason the peacock harasses the white hen, she is pretty agile and the pen is huge so she has plenty of room to get away...
Blue note or red note will work on that wound. Feed store will carry both. Coat with either and stay on it, you may have to take the scab off after a week or so an infection may developed underneath it, swab it again with either. Wear gloves either will stain your hands, blue not if the other...
If he is limping, he did something. I would put him in a cage by himself with water and food and water near by. Give him a scramble egg if he'll eat it. You can add some quick chick or other vita soluble to his water to give him a boost. Make sure you look him over good, make sure he doesn't...
Chickens hide illnesses really well, preditor pray thing. So when they do show it it may be a suprise. If she doesn't return to normal by tomorrow start her on a general antibiotic added to her water and some high protien foods, scrambled eggs and etc. I find once I notice an illness the faster...
Birds of habit, once they roost every night on the roost thats were they'll be. If there is crowding on the roost add some more, the lesser hens will be weary to roost next to the higher hens in the pecking order. Give them a few ways up also, that way they can circumnavigate the senior lady's.
She'll get there in time, I have a few that drop eggs when ever and where ever they want. Lately though I have found less on floor so I know their starting to use boxes.
If your going to free range a rooster is a must. He may not be able to do much against a fox or something bigger but their great at giving warnings and giving hens a chance to get away. I have a few big roo's who have actually teamed up to chase a way a couple of Hawks, mind you not very big...
All flocks have pecking order, if you just have hens, the dominate hen will be on top. If you have a rooster he will be on top of the order. But I do have one hen who's not afraid to put him in his place if he get a little to aggressive with her.
