I bought chicks at Tractor Supply that we’re supposed to be Golden Comets. That was 6 months ago, and they are just now starting to lay. On top of that, they are a lot bigger than Golden Comets are supposed to get. To me, they look more like Rhode Island Reds. What do y’all think?
I was doing it because I was under the impression that it would promote egg production. This is the first time I’ve raised hens from chicks. I’ve always had adult hens before that were already laying. I’m I’m wrong there, please educate me.
