Hi! Is it possible to have a Black Roo and a Blue hen have a lavender chick? This seems to of happened to me and I'm confused. how would this be possible out of the combination? Wouldn't mom and dad have to both me recessive carriers of the lavender gene?

Cochin? Cochin mix? He's as sweet as a dove and the size of a bantam. Does have feathered shanks.

My leghorns produce fantastically but are terribly mean to all my other hens. They are battery cage rescues and viciously attack many of my other hens. Not a fan of them outside of their laying capabilities.
