Although all 3 of my girls love dried mealworms, my Barred Rock - Babs - is absolutely RABID for fresh spinach. I have nicknamed her the piranah because she literally attacks me to get it and pecks my fingers hard as she gets to the end of the leaves as I hold them for her to eat.
I have tried...
Well, I am wondering if I SHOULD treat them for worms - I have closely examined the droppings from the other two birds and see no signs of worms at all - and no behavioral or physical signs of a worm problem either. What are your thoughts?
Also, do I have to discard their eggs while they are...
I'm in Florida and the lab is in Kissimmee, 3 hours away. I just buried her in the backyard in one of her favorite spots. :(
Started dosing the other 2 with the meds- they seem fine so far, both layed today and are eating and drinking like crazy - keeping my fingers crossed...
I'm not sure I want to bother with a necropsy - if it is something that virulent it won't matter, the other two probably have it already - although I really hope not. I'll just dose them, scrub the daylights outt of the coop :(and hope for the best. It's just really strange how whatever it was...

I am still going to get the medicines everyone recommended and dose my other two and...
Really grateful to everyone for your advice - although I bought the chickens for eggs, I am very fond of them and it really distresses me that Ethyl is sick. I am going out first thing tomorrow to get the Medes you recommended. Thanks again.
Ok, thanks - forgot about the poop chart! Anyway, it looked exactly like the pic with this description:
[/The hen who produced this specimen was about 25 weeks old. She went off her food and ate so little she became underweight. She held her tail down and was tired. She may have had worms...
Ok, stayed out with her long enough to see her poop - it was a squirt of what looked like yellow water- not any "substance " to it at all... worried about her... :(
