Well...Ethel couldn't hold back any longer. Started crowing this morning. HAHA! He must have know I called him out! Not sure where he will end up but I'll enjoy him while we figure it out.

We had one other but he was re-homed two weeks ago. We are brand new to the chicken adventure so are learning as we go.

I've said Ernest too. I think it's odd that he isn't crowing though.

Hubs and I are still up in the air on whether we have an Erhel or Ernest? About four months old and have yet to hear a crow. Any educated guesses would be wonderful!

Thanks all for the welcome. The crew in the pic is about four months old, give or take a week or so. We have only had them just over a week and I've already noticed a change in them. Combs and legs are growing and we've identified a roo who was very deceptive and hid his gender quite well...

Bernice is definitely a roo....he is beginning to practice his crowing and, while he has a ways to go, is giving it his all. I've told hubs that his name will remain Bernice...much to his dismay.
