    Chicken breed and a general location would probably help people provide better answers. Here in SW Ohio, my Easter Eggers start molting in late fall( oct/nov) , and have just now got back into the egg laying routine.

    The Rural King stock varies from week to week and store to store. I have seen Orpington, Rhode Island, and other common breeds. The last ones I bought were Easter Eggers. If you want a certain type, give the local store a call and see what they have in stock at the time.

    SW Ohio here, and my cute little baby chicks have been replaced by these teenage chicks that are getting too big for their brooder I hope it warms up at night soon, or they will be in for a shock when they go outside into the coop
