So, my main worry is that since my peacock is molted, he is spending less time on his roosts and more time just sitting on the ground. I’m concerned he’s losing weight. Neither he nor the hen seems to be eating a lot. Am I just worrying over nothing?

So we picked up a five year old peacock from a friend and brought him home. He is in his own pen with other fowl for company walking around and things he’s aware of them and they interact to some degree. But he’s not eating very much. He’s displaying, he’s calling. But he’s really not eating. I...
I thought of the bio security factor for pick up so I suggested meeting somewhere to transfer the bird. And he even said no to that. He also claimed that it was $35 flat rate shipping for any number of chickens. And that just sounded ridiculous.

We have him in a large very secure pen that has a full roof on it. It’s 10‘ x 12‘. And it’s got several different heights of roost and his food and water is in there. That itself is in our fenced chicken village as I call it. So he’s got lots of company because there’s chickens and ducks around...
