Hello, straight to answers, yes they are cold hardy. Egg production will vary depending on genetics and light. Just like any other chicken with putting bk at night, they'll go in on their own if they are raised or kept in the coop for a couple weeks.
Wow their green shine really stands out! I've been giving mine black sunflower seeds to bring out the shine more before the congress show in January. Do you give your birds sunflower seeds or anything else to bring out the shine?
My newest flock addition. He's about 25in tall already under a yr old. I got 2 hens with him so I can begin breeding. The 2 hens are pure black and this guy has a little red leakage on his neck. Is that easy to breed out if I end up wanting to show them?

I would separate him immediately from the flock and give antibiotics. That usually does the trick. I'm pretty sure Duramycin is what I used. I store it in the freezer when not using so it stays dry and lasts a long time.
