Looking for homes for my handsome guys - the Dominique was from TSC and the Salmon fav/mixed I hatched on Sept 10th. They had a Salmon fav dad, not sure what the hens were, could have been salmons also but could be mixed, they were just a barnyard mix.
I prefer to keep the darker one but could...
Nope, we're a few hours apart. I think I'm going to let my husband turn the orps into dinner :hit:hitbut I laid down the law and said we are keeping Elvis the Silkie. Thanks for trying!
Looking for homes for my boys that will let them live before I turn to butchering them, especially the silkie. They're all about 14 weeks old. Silkie is a lover, always greets me at the door, likes being held.
Ok my last questionable. This one has a bigger comb than my for-sure pullets, but much smaller than my for-sure cockerel. It looks redder today. The body shape is more like my girls, I'm not sure if that matters? My cockerel is smoother - as in his feathers lay flat.
I have 2 silkies that are polar opposites in behavior... Dolly is fun but can be a bully and will nip and kick at me if I grab at her/him. Stella is extremely shy but sweet and beautiful and mostly wants to perch on a roost in the back and be left alone.

I have a 6.5 week old very shy white silkie. When I went out to check them this evening she was just laying all hunkered down. I actually thought she was dead! Normally she runs away when I come by her but she just nestled more and didn't get up when I gave her a poke. When I tried to lift her...
Wondering about one of my 6 week BO's. He/she is really big and bossy, but doesn't look anything like the one I know is a cockerel. I am really hoping it's a pullet because she's very lovey and likes to be held...
Hahaha right?! Except here I planned out a coop in my head and doesn't he tell me his "plan" today without asking my opinion?! Disclaimer- We have a barn, just need to fix up an area for them if it ever stops snowing
