Ok so these chicks hatched Saturday and I'm trying to sex them on their wing feathers.
I'm thinking this is a pullet, correct?

So far 6 have hatched live. (3 Saturday. 3 yesterday.)
1 pipped but didn't unzip.
1 pipped this morning.
And 1 to go.
For a first timer - I can say this has far exceeded my expectations! I assumed we'd only have 2/3, if any from what I've read, for the first hatch or 2.
So lockdown is happening here in a few hours. I'm concerned about the air cells. A few of them I know we're good. But it most of them I think they might be too small?
So what say you people of backyard chicken community? Does everything look OK? Should I do something?

We have begun the process of hatching eggs (day 3) so trying to get a plan in place to introduce the chicks to my 2 hens. 1 laying (top) 1 not (bottom) my top hen, Layla, is pretty docile. So I'm hoping for not too much of a fight.

After much research, I bought 10 fertilized eggs Sunday. Placed them in my incubator. And have been a rotating, water adding, temperature checking mad(wo)man since.
We candled today (super bright flash light) and much to our surprise all 10 eggs have the tell tale veins and dark spot.

Yes! That absolutely helps a TON! The wildlife people came and got the bear today, he will be euthanized, which is unfortunate but apparently bears tend to travel back to their territories.
She won't go back into her coop at all as of yet - I cleaned it as best as I could, but nothing so far...
