Yes you do have to worry. I sadly just lost 6 out of my 7 chickens to a bear last nite. They will rip through anything to get them and eat them. I'm devastated as they were my pets and all named and looked after so well
Hey everyone,
Just need a few ideas hopefully. My chicken run is dirt at one end then they can walk under the coop to the other end
which is feed and water and I have put down rock to help keep it cleaner. The dirt end is so boring for them as far as
foraging goes. I hang things for them to eat...
Keep an eye on it...a close eye, everyday until it's gone.
Could be she bled a little from newly laying, happens.
Thankyou and you were right she is just fine now and had just started laying :)
I have seven chickens and two have black spots on their combs. If it's pox is it serious?? Or is there something I should do?? First time chicken owner and this is second issue I have had. I posted the other one as well but hoping for some info about this too please.
Any info is sooooo...
Hello, any information will be greatly appreciated. My Speckaled Sussex Charlotte was getting pecked in the rear by some of the other chickens. I picked her up and took a peek and there was blood there!! I noticed one dropping with blood in it as well. I put her in the coop with the door closed...
Anyone having issues with earwigs in the feed?? My feed is in a tin garbage can and they still get in to that and into my PVC pipe chicken feeders so annoying.
Well I looked on line at our local Canadian Tire & they have a nice compact tumble
Compost, plastic and has doors to open & close with built in handles to turn it. Sound pretty simple so it's worth a go. $100 bucks so have decided to get one. Thanks for all the info!!
