I just had a broody silkie on 6 eggs. Around day 18 my dog managed to get all but 1 egg. That egg pipped and died. Thankfully my hen brokw her own broodiness after the eggs were gone. Then i notice one of the other silkies is disappearing. Yep.... she had a hidden nest. She is sitting on...

You can use a bowl with a plate on top of it. I use a 5 gal bucket with apizza pan on top. The bucket i feef from haa no lid. I have a 2 bucket rotation. One that i feed from and one that is fermenting.

Ive been fermenting for several months. The only time ive had problems with the chicks eating it is when i started them on dry feed for the first few weeks. As ong as i feed fermented from hatch they love it

Its a large dog crate and there are 9 in there. Really not enough room, but they are moving outside in a few days. Just trying to get through the next few days

I have chicks in my house and im having to change out the bedding almost daily. These chicks are 9 weeks old and the only reason they arent outside yet is because i need to do some reconfiguring in the coop for integration. Anyway...... would it be ok to empty all bedding from the brooder and...

Ok! Thank you so much. I actually had chicks hatch from eBay eggs that were breeds that weren't listed in the possible pure breeds.

I am trying to talk my husband into ayam cemani eggs. He is showing interest. Anyway i have read a few posts in the past about people getting eggs that ended up either not being pure AC or not good quality. Can anyone recommend an eBay seller or someone to beware of. Thanks in advance
