    Goose ponds in winter?

Mine do! They will pick the kiddie pool every night over anything else we have. Their night time run is about 20' x 40' so they have plenty to choose from lol

    Goose ponds in winter?

Hi guys! I was wondering what people do about geese in winter? Do you still let them access their ponds? Mine sleep in their kiddie pool (in an enclosed run) and I'm not sure if I'll have to introduce them to a building to sleep for winter. I'm in NC usa so we don't get super harsh winters by...

    Goose pond ideas?

Hello! I have 4 three month old (approximately) geese and I'm looking for pond ideas. They currently have a large kiddie pool and an old bathtub so we are good for this summer but I would like to start figuring out something more permanent for next year. Looking to see what you guys have that...

Any idea on age or breed of these goslings?

I love that there's so many goose people here! I am in love with my goslings! We have 10 acres fenced and another 15 I'm considering fencing in. Here are my original rescued babies and the second two that I purchased now. They are so big and so intelligent 🥰🥰

Any idea on age or breed of these goslings?

Oh I hope they are OK. I love geese too. I always have ever since I was a little kid. It's funny I was just thinking the other week I should add geese to my homestead and boom. Two little fluff balls end up right in my path. I then bought two others to add in 🙈🙈 is goose math as bad as chicken...

Any idea on age or breed of these goslings?

That's perfect! That's what I'm most concerned with with mine. I've had issues with possums in the past but have since secured the coop more so nothing can get in at night. The foxes so far haven't seemed interested in my farm but I do have some dogs that run around my coop and pasture area so...

Any idea on age or breed of these goslings?

Checked the feed they are on a duck starter by purina. Extra niacin but 19% protein. I can try to get them a different waterfowl food at a different feed store, this was the one they had suggested and I was worried about getting them warm (it's was in the40s this morning) I just grabbed what...

Any idea on age or breed of these goslings?

Thank you everyone so much!! I'll check the protein level of the feed. I'm not sure. The feed store is the one that picked it out for me since I'm new to geese and ducks. I will definitely look into crumbling up the pellets for them for a week or two, I have a coffee grinder I use for my...

Any idea on age or breed of these goslings?

Hi everyone! I went to my feed store this morning and found these two little guys (gals?) Left in a box in the parking lot. I had been thinking about adding guard geese to my chicken flock anyway and couldn't leave them there in the cold so brought them home. Does anyone have any ideas on age or...

Chicks dying under momma hen yolk not absorbed?

Hey guys so my clutch under my momma hen started hatching this morning. So far there has been 5 hatched all with the yolks not absorbed and died within an hour or two of getting out. She has hatched out 4 other clutches with no problems so I'm just confused. Anyone else had this from under a...
