We have 1 Barred Rock, 1 Buff, 2 Blk Sexlinks and 1 Game bird mix. all of them were 22 weeks to the day on 8/21/16

    What breed is my hen?

She said an ameraucana, I am guessing she could be a mix of one or an easter egger however she is smaller than I would have thought she would be by now.

    Run roof design

For the gutters I would go with a 6 inch, especially if you are going to slope it towards one end to a single catchment, that way you won't have any overflow issues into the run!

Is this coop a good fit for us?

With out a picture of the coop it is hard to say if it will have good ventilation. Unless the wind will blow directly on your girls they should keep plenty warm as long as the ventilation is adequate. I would say the size is good for the 12 birds you currently have but not if you want to expand...

    Any idea of floor?

we just have the cheap sheep vinyl flooring rolled up on the sides to hold in the deep litter, as long as you are careful putting it in & scooping it out so you don't tear it, it should hold up fine.

Need advice constructing support for a higher pitched roof (Very long story, with eight photos.)

I agree with Howard, a gable or a sloped shed style roof is definitely needed. The problems I see will be you won't be able to complete either from the ground like you said you needed, you would have to have ladders and maybe an extra set of hands to get gable roof trusses up there. Also the...

    Interior wall covering

I'm actually staring out the window at work and it is getting pretty cloudy... and guess who didn't unload the trailer full of pegboard last night At least if it makes it through this rain it shouldn't get wet once it is in the coop, it will be at least 6 inches off the ground on top of a...

    Interior wall covering

I would love to just paint the inside however my pain-in-the-butt birds like to roost on the flooring I have stapled up on the walls (to easily clean out my deep pine shavings) and poop both on the wall and behind the flooring, so I will have to put something there. there is actually some open...
