Thank you for the input!! I was leaning towards that but the mostly solid color was throwing me off. I know EE's can vary a lot but all the ones I've received from hatcheries generally have the load markings on face & such, curious to see how this one turns out!!

Yes, I noticed that about cackle but wasn't sure on their the faverolles either. I would love to add this breed to my flock but without a breeder close by or my own incubator -it's just a throw of the dice on some of the hatchery stock for now. Seems like you either get a decent looking one or...

Thanks for the feedback!! That's disappointing. I know it's difficult to get nice ones from hatcheries on these 2 breeds but my other birds from Ideal turned out nicely.. was hoping these would be decent too, so sad :( any pics of yours? either way, thank u!!

Haha Yep! I've gone a bit mad on my ordering but I enjoy my birds I have plans to breed for egg color & feather coloring. My first project will be breading for olive eggers and then separately a project on color for blue laced chicks. Will see where my grand plans go from there lol..

How cool! Well I'm just getting started out but my babies came in 11/02, I got several different breeds; Delaware, EEs, leghorn, NHreds, australorp, SLwyandotte, and some barred rocks! I've already ordered more for Feb. though They're like potatoe chips, addictive and can't have just one!!ha
