Soaking a MealWorm in Corid...? Good/Bad idea?

Enola.... I should say "in addition to" the medicated water ..... what do you think about a soaked worm...and they don't soak up too much, I laid one down in a DROP of Corid...just gets it wet enough, what I'm worried about is it not being diluted enough. Cindy

Soaking a MealWorm in Corid...? Good/Bad idea?

From the reading I've done I would say my little ButterCup has a mild to mid case of Cocci. She sits or lays down about 80% of the time with her wings dropped. She IS eating and drinking and the other chicks are not picking on her. I have medicated the water with 1 tsp of Corid to 3/4 Gal of...

Little chick "sits" or "lays down" 80% of the time... 6 weeks old.

We got her on April 20th and she was "supposedly" 1 week old, so that would make her about 6 weeks old now. We are feeding medicated baby chick food. Would more video help? I need to look up what coccidia is !!!

She is about a week younger than the others but was purchased at the same time. She didn't start off this way either. Her vent is clear. She eats and drinks just fine. I am trying to get the video on here, but it might be upside down (sorry!!) but its a good example of how she behaves.

She even EATS sitting down!!! It's this little girl. She is in a laying down or sitting position every time I go over and visit them in the box (every few hours, sometime minutes cuz I love watching them). She doesn't seem to be hurt, and she CAN walk around and even run. Sort of worried...

She has been ID'd on here as a Production Red.... (Feed store sold her as an Ameracauna)

Of our 4, six week old chicks, this one sits a majority of the time. She can walk and run even, doesn't seem to be hurt or crippled, she just sits, and sits, and sits. They are still in the 48 x 24 x 24 cardboard condo (coop will done next week). No matter what time of day or night I peak...

Did you follow some plans or just "wing" it? We have NEVER built a thing ever, but have all the tools. Same thing, chicks are growing fast and need something bigger than their Cardboard Condo very soon.

I feel TONS better. This rush of having to have a coop this weekend is solved, since neither my husband or I have EVER built anything, doing it in the next 5 days seems impossible... (he is a firefighter and is only home for 2 days this time of year) Soooo we decided on a PreFab coop "for now"...

I am in Northern California (Mendocino county) - climate is beautiful, no hard seasons at all. 75' these days, never colder than 55' in the winter but does get to 100' mid summer. We do have a place in our back yard, also an option to move the coop under a patio overhang if the elements get...

I enjoyed the first week. Now I am questioning if we are smart enough to do this whole backyard chicken thing. The feed store sold me birds that were NOT what they were supposed to be. The water container leaks everywhere. These little 4-5 week old chicks are being super mean to each other...

I love this.... did you have blueprint plans or did you just "wing" it ;-) ? We have NO building experience whatsoever, but ALL the tools, and we are going to attempt a 4 hen coop this weekend.... this is the design we are aiming for.
