Well the biggest problem is I was forced to get rid of the mother this late in the game. I've got a heat lamp on them and keeping the temp around 90-98 the whole time.
I'm really hoping I get them to hatch out. I was my first clutch
We have found small cracks on the outside of the eggs. We can also hear peeping. When we candle them they are all moving around. How much longer do you guys think it will be?
Yeah it really sucks. I called them up to see who complained. They said that it was anonymous and they didn't actually have a complaint, just saying I had chickens.
So it was someone who was just being nosy and had nothing better to do then complain about my hens
We candles our duck eggs today. We save some movement in them. Like a little bill moveing around.
Anyone have an idea how much longer it will be. I feel like she's been sitting for 4 weeks
I did get ahold of the lady. She said that it's not her law for the 24 hours, it's the humane society.
She also said she would not come in and check on us till Monday, giving me some time to rehome
I do not have enough room to move my coop within those particular guide lines.
The reason I thought I could fight it was because they do not have definitions for "fowl" and "livestock". At least what I could find.

That...
And here is my exact law
So where I am coming from is, these are domesticated pets, not "fowl". Also I do not consider them livestock because there is no intent on harvesting or use of commercial sales?
Has anyone ever gone to a court/hearing? Do you have to pay court cost even if you win?
I receive a letter saying I was in violation of Morristown TN law. The violation was having "fowl"
Can I fight the terminology? Can I say they are pets , or even poultry. Fowl seems like a very vague term.
I also have some Muscovy. I am hoping I can dismiss them as fowl as well

Well they like to sleep on the top of the coop (after I made them a nice house) and they like try and see how far they can fly off it in the morning. The coop is probably only 5 feet off the ground.
Yeah I am glad she is doing better. This is not the first time one of my chickens had a limp (had a big ol maran that was limping)
I am just wondering how / where / what is causing the injury so I can try and "chicken proof" it
Ok glad to know lol. While I would say they are a great chicken to have if your main goal is egg laying, but I dont think they do well in a mixed flock hahah
Yeah I am not sure, you might have to read on it. I know when I spread it on my crops, it did not have any bugs on it. Maybe a combo of DE around her, then some neems oil on the outside of the DE would make a good barrier
