I only have a few hatches under my belt but have done okay so far. Hatched some araucana chicks from Illia last summer and looking for some other bloodlines to add to our flock so I would be interested in you still have test eggs. Or if you have enough takers already then would be interested...

Ah..might be like that. I'll go look again tomorrow in the light. I don't think I have a good head shot of her. I should post her because I'm not really sure what color she is and would like to know. She is very pretty gray with white lacing around neck onto back. Although not "standard"...

Hi Araucana folks - I'm a newby on all the genetic stuff but a quick question. I hatched some Araucana chicks last year (from Illia). I ended up with one nice hen, rumpless but no tufts or maybe very small miniscule tufts? (she's got a bit of fluff in the right spot if you look close). And...

Bumping this up. Little guy seemed to have eaten all his wet mashed food last night (and there was a lot!). Any ideas?

Have about a one month old duckling that somehow broke it's bill. (How can they even do that?). Bottom bill. It's bent backward, maybe takes up about 1/4 of the whole bill. I can flip it back straight but it doesn't stay. Anything to be done or just put it out of it's misery? We've got it...

In 2009 I ordered from him. 25 chicks, 8 were dead at post office. The weather had gotten really cold after he shipped. Not his fault, I felt. He sent a 2nd batch (no charge) and somehow the post office screwed up and didn't deliver it (I kept calling the post office for 3 days!), whole batch...

So...I signed my daughter up for chicken 4-H this year and signed myself up for WAY more craziness than I realized. Hence this question.... We have to wash the chickens and turkeys for the fair. I've gotten the instructions on how to do that, but they all say to use warm water. Getting warm...
