the first picture i sent was just for the Barred Rock specifically the one with the redder comb.. i think the others are hens but not sure about that one. That chicken seems to be a lot bigger than the others and has bigger legs

I got them at the end of November and i think they were somewhere around 5 to 6 weeks old maybe

I have 4 barred rock chickens and i am trying to find out if this one is a rooster. If its been 24 days and egg has not hatched what should I do. Two eggs have already hatched but this one has not. 7-23-14 was day incubation started under broody hen.

How long do you wait on egg. I have one that is on day 24 and nothing yet. Hen is sitting on it.

Just checked on chick hatching and the hen was eating it...she didn't do that with first one why would she do that

One of the other eggs has started to hatch. The mama hen has left it and is with the one that has hatched a week earlier. Do you hust leave the chick trying to hatch alone

Ok thanks...thought maybe since it was a cross breed you could tell by color. Also I have two other eggs under hen that were put under her a week after the first egg that hatched the hen is still sitting on them and candleing them they look like they are developing. Is that going to be a problem?
