    Flock of SG Dorkings

I'm offering up my flock of Silver Grey Dorkings to make room for some of my other varieties. I have Roger Tice's line of Reds and this year, I crossed three Red pullets with a Silver male that I got from the Superior Farm line. I hatched about 30 chicks from him and another 50 from his...

    Large Fowl Cochin Thread

The question really is: How bad are they? Usually to get good foot feathering, most birds have some degree of vulture hocking. If it doesn't feel too hard or stand out too much, most judges let it go. It does make that foot feathering look much fuller as adults.

I would also mention that it might not have been the vent. Sometimes chicks that hatch in low humidity situation will not seal their belly buttons correctly. It's very close to the vent, so might appear to be the vent. It would look like a prolapse but would actually be a hernia of sorts. Most...

    B.Y.C. Dorking Club!

Hi all, Just checking in. I haven't been too active lately. We just had a little baby girl (Olivia Lilly) and I've been busy between jobs getting acclimated to my new responsibilities. With 100+ chicks to move around and a drought for the ages, it has been a summer to remember, for sure. I'm...

Sorry to interrupt the flow :) I haven't been on in awhile, but I currently have 15 SG eggs that I will ship on demand. $12 plus shipping (Just sent some to WA for $13). Let me know if anyone is interested. As to the Reds, I finally got some fertile Red eggs, so I hope to fill the orders I...
