We've got the same thing going on here...she started on 4 and when I checked last week there were about 10. I too, have moved the other hens and roo out and am waiting to see whats gonna happen.

my best hatch on shipped eggs has been 25%. On my eggs 70%. pine grove shipped me 31 eggs. 7 either were scrambled in shipping or werent fertile. i went into the hatcher with 24 and have 23 of his dark rhode island reds running around.

how do you know if your white rooster is dominant or recessive ? i was going to use a white rock . hope to get a splash then breed that back to the black sex link.

Thx for posting a follow up. I have 6 new hatches in the incubator tonight and 2 look like your first pics. In searching for what to do I came across your posts and I'm feeling a little better. I'll leave the 2 in tonight and hope for the best. Maybe I'll try some prepH too.

I just bought this 1266 . I know it needs a water tray up top. I need they eggs trays too or can i use egg cartons in the metal trays. I have never used one like this . I dont see a hygrometer just the hole to slide it in. What else do i need or do you suggest i buy . I see on the cqf website...
