My chicken is having trouble walking

Thank you, I still have hope! She still can't walk and when I try to have her stand while supporting her she usually has her feet crossed, and then when she tries to walk ends up having to use her wings and then falls to one side. I try to catch her and not let her fall. Today I made a sling out...

My chicken is having trouble walking

okay, yes I hope the vitamins help, too... hopefully its not a virus. I'm gonna wait it out and see if she gets better but we are prepared to do what's best for her. I just hope she can walk again. I don't think she has a back problem, she's never fallen as for as I know and I pet her back and...

My chicken is having trouble walking

So, I have a 6 week old hen named Cupcake and is a barred plymoth rock I got from a farm store when she was a chick. She has been healthy her whole life until recently one of our roosters got really sick with gapeworm so we dewormed the whole flock. That was a few days ago and we thought it was...

Is my chicken dying or just sick??

The farm store told me it was gape worm so we gave all our chickens the medicine for gapeworm. It was difficult because it was a large pill so we had to mix with water and food to get them to eat it. The rest of the flock is okay right now but the two rhode island reds weren't doing too well...

Does the entire coop and run need to be covered and kept dry?

Okay thanks everyone, we have had a tropical storm here in Hawaii and luckily it is passed but it was really coming down. Today we deep cleaned the coop and run and took all the dirty dirt out and put pine shavings and natural litter in the coop. I also deoderized it before hand. Then, we put...

    Hello, new to BYC

Hi BYC members, I recently joined BYC because I have been getting great info from this site since getting my chicks and decided it was time to join. We are pretty much obsessed with our small flock and anytime I am lost I come to this site. I am already receiving feedback on a post I made...

Does the entire coop and run need to be covered and kept dry?

This is our chicken house, they hardly go in the coop- I am not sure the exact dimensions, maybe the run is 4ft (l) x 4ft (w) x 5ft (h) and the coop is smaller... Except when it rains they mostly stay in the run unless its hot or rainy. We do not have any bedding in there yet it's just wooden...
