I was given this beauty yesterday and today she gave me an egg! I still need to give her a name.

This is Peaches... And this is her very first egg! I got Peaches back in Aug and was told she was of laying age. Well today she finally laid me an egg!!! I'm so excited to say the least, lol

I still haven't noticed frozen and only used it the one night. I did however notice the water was a bit warmer than the ones that were not on the warmer. So I do believe it will be a great thing come winter. Knowing me, I'll probably make more, lol.

We live in a tiny little town and the feed store is new, (less than a yr). This is the first time I've seen she's had chicks and my first time buying them. These are all supposed to be brown egg laying pullets. That's all the info I have on them. All my other pullets and cockerels were given to...

I wish I knew. I bought them from our local feed store and all she said was mixed batch. I'm not too worried about breeds, I just want them to lay eggs when they get older.

The new nest boxes are now ready! Nothing fancy, but they should work just fine.
