    Thanks, so much for your response. I've been busy with finding a home for our rooster. I'm glad to know someone knew what I was talking about regarding the carabeeners. I'm glad they haven't figured yours out. I do have hardware cloth over every opening. I'll post a picture of the new coop...

    Has anyone ever had an experience with raccoons opening a carabeener? Just how clever are they. What should you use to lock down the windows and doors of their coop?

    Just wanted to let you know, I completely understand your situation. We received our 2 day old chicks the end of May, and are in the same boat. My husband has been working day and night on the coop since the end of May. It is so detailed, so much trim..... We are just about to put the main door...

  14. The trim is a very slow process. My husband has been cutting all day, and still there is more. Very labor intensive. But "Wow" what a beautiful coop my honey has built the girls. He is under a lot of pressure, the chickens are getting big. More to come.

  15. This is the inside of the coop. Your looking at the nesting box (bottom) and vent. There will be two large doors. One on the inside of the run, and one where I'm taking the picture. The inside of the coop will also be insulated.
