    Found a chicken

I love my Easter Egger, I feel like she’s the smartest one out of all my girls (2 isa’s, 1 buff & her) so I’m pretty stoked I found this one! When I picked her up and held her she fell asleep. I want to think she felt safe but it might’ve been some sort of defense mechanism. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Found a chicken

So I found an Easter egger hen that’s been roaming the neighborhood for minimum a month, today I caught it! She is so skinny and her comb is really pale compared to my other Easter egger. Other than being really thin she looks pretty heathy. I have her in isolation, with vitamins/probiotic...

Don't know what breed or gender you have? Click here!

I have 2 buffs and a Easter egger, they are almost 6 wks. I know out if the 3 chicks 2 are female I'm hoping the 3rd is just an early bloomer with the comb since they were all supposed to be female and I cannot have a rooster where I live. The buff female has really curly feathers and the...

My first set of buff orpington

Sorry I meant to say is it normal for the beak to be that long, or do I need to file it down. Sorry about that.

My first set of buff orpington

One of BO's beak seems really long (See 1st pic) Compared to pic 2 & 3. They will be 3 wks Tuesday. Also she has a sister that is starting to look more like a cockerel? I'm really hoping not because if she/he is I'll have to get rid of her/him (also see 2,3,&4 )

    Arkansas folks speak up.........

I put my 5wk old Isa browns out in the coop..They have been doing great and seem to enjoy it, we are expecting some severe weather in NWA tonight and tomorrow I believe. Is there anything special I should do when it's raining? I can't put them back in the brooder since it has new chicks in it.

    Arkansas folks speak up.........

Good morning! I'm new to chickens and live in NWA, I have 6 Isa Browns I'm thinking about 4 weeks. I am waiting for them to be completely feathered before I put them in the coop. Once they are fully feathered they should be fine in our Arkansas weather without a heat lamp right?

    Treats or toys for chicks

So I heard my chicks squawking and went to go check on them and one had a piece of bedding and her mouth running around with the other chasing her and when she saw me she dropped it and then picked it up again and it started all over. I got it and threw it away. It hasn't happened again, do I...
