I bet that is why one of them sits in a different corner than the other 4 do.
Well I guess now I need to figure out what I'm going to do with the two extra females. I may try to keep them because I am hatching out a few more quail.
I have two groups of bob whites.
Group 1 has 3 females and 2 males.
Group 2 has 4 females and 3 males.
I read that they pair up.
Questions:
How do I know who is paired up with who?
Do I pull out one female in each group?
Or leave them be someone will get lucky and have two females... :)
It will go down to 31% by morning and I fill a few times a day. I did add a small bowl with water in it. I thought it might help keep it more at 45%. I am using an hovabator incubator. I had great luck last year and had no problem with humidity.
I set 15 chicken eggs on February 8. When I candled them the other day, it looks like all have some movement in them. So we'll see. Kids are excited. Will candle them again over the weekend.
okay, Ill change the feed soon. Oh my I still have a lot left from this bag. Maybe I mix it.
Hubby just looked at birds and he said they all look the same. LOL I told him I know because I can tell the different either. LOL I will be purring them into their own pens, so Ill add individual/group...
Okay that is what our Farm CO-OP had. I will look at the tags the next time I am there. Ill also look at the Tractor supply store (TSC). Do I need to add the vitamins and minerals to the water or will the feed have enough in it?
okay, I will just need to make sure I have one of each in a pen by that time. :)
