Thank you so much! That is exacty what I wanted to know. Are you a judge? I really appreciate it! His tail is full of broken feathers so I am hoping that fills out more. I will work on perfecting the color definitely! I did notice his comb is not perfect either. I didnt post pics of the hen...
I always did like bantams and plus I am already set up for them. My exhibition/condition cages are 6 sq ft which most large fowl wouldn't like. In the next few months I may get a few started red chick from you. I am loving barred rocks as well. Barred rocks and rhode island reds will be my side...
I still definitely want to get into breeding reds! I will one day but I just can't swing it right now. I am up to my neck in silkie chicks and just got a pair of barred rock bantams from Dick. Will get in touch with you Robert when I start culling through my flock and selling stuff. I don't mind...
Here is a male I just got from Dick Horstman. I LOVE him! Critiques and comments are welcome :)

I would cull what you have and just start with nice stock from the same bloodline. When I first started I was told to stick with the same bloodline and breed those for a while first. When crossing strains, a lot of problems surface.
I have a silkie broody who hatched 4 silkie chicks on her own. On the same day I hatched 10 silkies in my incubator. Could I just put all of the chicks under the broody? If the broody cant keep all of the chicks warm , could I just put a heat lamp for the chicks?

Hi! Would I be able to put a pair of tipplers in this 3ft by 2ft cage? It's 2ft tall. Could they live in here all the time? I may end up building another loft.
