Hey everyone! Im looking for some Orpington Pullets in the Fl panhandle, I don't care if they are Buff or Lavender, but they must be hens! They are not for show, I just want some good-quality, good egg laying hens. Anyone that has any info on where I could get some or if you are selling please...
Hi! Does anyone know of any Australorp breeders in the panhandle of Florida? I would really like to obtain some birds for my flock and I cannot find any near here. I would really, really love any info you have. Thank you so much.
So far, you are the only person that is selling in Florida that I can find. I really want to get my flock started with Australorps. If you are willing to meet me halfway or if you know of someone that is selling Australorps closer to the panhandle I would greatly appreciate ot to know. :)
I think I will use the sand in the run and coop but in their nesting boxes I'll use the hay. That way I'll still have the tidiness of the sand and the chickens will have the fun of the hay. :)
Thank you so much!! It doesn't get quite that cold, actually it doesn't get much colder than 20 degrees so that's not a problem. I'm actually looking for some right now but I'm not having that much luck. I'm in north FL and if you could tell me if you know of any good breeders or hatcheries here...
Hi everyone! I'm starting my flock and I need some birds to do so! I'm looking for Australorp hens but I would prefer them to be as young as possible. NO ROOSTERS!!!!!! I just want hens and the younger the better. I'm in northern FL and I am looking for a good reputable breeder to buy from. If...
~~I would love it if you could tell me more about your chickens! I'm getting some chickens of my own and didn't realize that there are so many breeds available! I know what I want in a chicken and I think that Australorp will probably be the bird for me, but I want to be absolutely sure before...

Do you know if an Australorp would be a good breed for a beginner? I'm really interested in them and they seem like great birds but I don't want a difficult breed on my first try. I was looking into RIRs but I decided that I didn't want a chicken that would go broody. I want a good layer, non...
How broody do they get? Unlike most people I want the least broody as possible because I don't have a rooster and don't want them to guard unfertalized eggs.. I want the most eggs, least broodiness, and nicest breed.. Do you know a breed that meets those?
That one also seems really good!! This is going to be a hard choice but I'm happy to have so many options! Also your hen is adorable, especially as she is being all motherly!! Off topic question but is she an australorp by any chance? (I may have spelled that wrong)
That looks really easy to use! I would love more pictures of it! And how do you put the feed in it? Sorry for all the questions but I really just want my coop to be as good as possible and that includes the feeders ;)
So, I am on here getting info for the start if my flock, and I was completely sure that I wanted to get pullets.... Now I'm not so sure... Baby chicks seem like a lot of work but I am willing to put that in if it means that I will get a meaningful relationship with my girls. O.o
Also I was wondering if there were any suggestions on what I should put down on my actual coop floor :) sorry for all the questions but I just want to be the best chicken parent to my girls
