I love the picture. It looks like they posed! Geese are such hams. :P
I am overjoyed to announce that both of our missing cats turned up safe and sound!! :D I can't believe it!!
They both promptly started causing trouble again.

I love pantaloons! Your guy is quieter than mine; sometimes we can hear his screeches echoing all the way across the valley! I wonder what the people on the other side think??
I am a Christian, but I've been too sick to attend church for almost two years. Our churches have been very unsupportive.
Being so sick for so long is really messing me up. Plus the side effects of the immune-suppressant drugs are gnarly.
I miss my geese. :(
...that obscures the geese's bodies, so they look like parade floats going by!
This really helped cheer me up today. I'm really sick again, plus the **** blasted coyote kille two of our cats in the last week, and injured a duck. Sometimes I want to go to sleep and never wake up again. :(:hit
Today I felt good enough to sit outside for ten minutes or so with my birds. :) I took the opportunity of taking some more up-to-date photos. Matilda is much harder to photograph; she is exceedingly suspicious and won't come near the iPad!
Yup, he sure does. He also likes to prank the birds: he hides in the bushes, and when a chicken/duck/goose comes by, he sprints out and smacks it on the bottom! He usually gets bitten if he goes for a goose. Kinda deserves it, darn cat.
My lead hen beats the tar out of every rooster I offer, regardless of his age. She's about a year old. That being said, I screen my Roos pretty carefully before buying/adopting, so none of them have been overbearingly aggressive.
My Leghorn hen had something similar. We never found out what it was, but we sprayed Blu-Kote on it a few times and it went away. I should have taken a picture.
Lol, yeah. I got four ducklings for my birthday April 2015, and now we have 8 ducks, two geese, and 7 chickens! Plus the six goats, nine cats and one dog we already had.... It's pretty chaotic around here.
I hate hate HATE hawks! I've had them come crashing through the trees/bushes surrounding our yard, trying to get to my birds. That being said, they won't come near us humans, so spending lots of time outside seems to help. I would go ahead and try penning them while you're gone; it's the...
In that case, I'd just go with your instinct. You know her best; if she seems healthy, she's probably fine. :)
ETA: My American female is quite a bit heavier than him, and she's fine. Just built like a tank, lol!
Hello, all. I have been extremely ill with an auto-immune flare all year-- way too sick to go outside. I am really missing my geese right now, so I thought, why not start a thread especially for goose stories?
So let's tell stories! Funny, sad, bizarre, rescue stories, anything goes! And...
