yesterday our brown leghorn layed this funny looking egg. i've never seen anything like this before. here's some pics that dh took for me.

check out the size of this egg that one of our rir's layed, i put a quarter and pen in the pic to compare with. the egg on the left is the size of a AAA jumbo size you would buy at a store.
