Long time kinda no post lol. I have a lavender guinea keet that had a near death scare this afternoon. She or he over drank their water bloated their crop to the point it was suffocating itself so I took a sterile hypodermic needle and drained the crop afterwards I cleaned the area and applied...
Yes we sure are aiming for a rainbow guinea flock, specislly noe we have a sparkle chicken aka peacock who has joined the flock. He tested each guinea today the last one being Lee and Leee got ticked snd started kicking and pecking Neptune who was befuddled with Lee's actions.
Thanks @GlennLee we are excited to have these little ones. We are also holding back some presonally produced ones. Lavenders, powder pieds and royals. We only have Delta left as a royal so more eas needed.
They didn't do anything, but offered for us to come to their farm to buy more. I chewed them out. A week after they hatched all became weak and died. I have very good care for all of my fowl. One day they were healthy and then weak and died the next.
Congrats. Becareful of ones that do not hatch. I had one quail egg explode in my ear when i tried to listem for a sign of life. Worst feeling ever still have ear pain and that happened on Saturday Night

As for first aid, Blu-Cote, gauze pads, first aid tape. And anything else you...
Today my fiance and I vendered at the Maryland Poultry swap & Farmer's Market, we sold some and bought some and our last buy was a gorgeous young Black Shoulder Peacock cockerel. He is a year old and now I am looking for a Peahen for him, I'd love to get another black shoulder or a pied cameo or...
We finally produced our own blues! we had 2 hatch within 12 hours of each other. I am keeping all Blues we produce as hold backs for extra laying hens to pair with our Lavender boy.
James and I also were bought out of keeters for the summer and possibly part of next year. A lady we see...
Give her a little beet juice in her feed as fermented feed or in her water. Beet juice has iron in it and helps with bloodloss i use ot if my guineas are being stupid and cut themselves.
