Half are silver Laced, half are brown Laced.
If we are going according to males getting dominant genes then the silver Laced will be males like the rooster.
However typically sex links have the brown rooster and have brown pullets.
For Foraging and temperment good winter layers I would lean towards - Buckeye
Eggs - Rhode Island, Astralorp, or Barred Rock
Looks, and temperment - Silver Laced Whyandotte
I have never had Sussex

I like getting a bunch that all look the same, it is easier to eat...

Did you have any luck with your cross test?
I have considered Cornish Indian Game mixed with the following.

Plymouth Rock (White or Barred)
Faverolles
I want to know how big of a foraging bird I can get in 20 weeks.

Jersey Giant...
Have you found any good answers over the last 8 years? I want the best mix to give me a good 5 month foraging bird with the most weight. Something that will take care of it's self on food from last freeze to first freeze.

I very much want to know the answer to this same question. Can you get a cross breed that gets to be 10 plus lb in 5 months. Cornish Cock with Jersey Giant Hen or visa versa.
Perhaps with a different Cross
Cornish Cock & Delaware Hen
I want to know if the Cornish Giant would be a great cross as well. If you can get one to grow the size of a Jersey Giant in the maturity time frame as a Cornish Indian Game. I very much want to know the answer.
I made it according to my planned dimentions but I have it set up for as a chicken Brooding coop. I am thinking of turning my chicken coop into a Coturnix coop, and making a new home for the hens.
