I didn't specify enough about the situation. The birds are all finished molting. Three of the four have resumed laying, and now, the "personality" change is happening.
I have four hens, all born March 2012. They have had a consistent pecking order until the last 2 weeks. The top hen, after molting, has started making "baby" noises, high pitched repetitive calls, and all three of the other hens keep chasing her away from them. They all jump on her and peck...

Yesterday, my family went for a hike up in the mountains. When we were going back, we slowed down to see some birds and a chipmunk, then we kept going. When we got home this chipmunk literally hitch hiked on our mini van! Now we have a chipmunk in our yard. I'm afraid it'll die here or get...
Our dog is okay with our girls, but he sometimes turns into a predator when our babyish amerucana Peepers freaks out when she see's him. We quickly stop him and he behaves again. :)
