Hello my chick has hatched but it still has its yoke sack attached to its egg I don't know what to do will it dry up? It's not very big but it's big enough , please help he's still in the incubator he's on a warm damp flannel ( as his shell was drying up) xx
He not moved since last night so Iv decided to help him , his shell seamed hard Iv taken alittle off and put him back in a damp flannel so I will have a look later xx

What type of chicken are you showing? With most breeds of chicken, I usually like to wash them about 3 days before the show. They're usually dry by the 2nd day, and don't have much time to get dirty before the show.
However, with heavily-feathered breeds, like Cochins, I would wash a little...
this is my 1st ever breed of chicken and i love them to bits, they are very easy to keep and lay lots of eggs, would recommend this breed to anyone they are super

hi do gold pencilled hamburg make good pets? iv fallen in love with them, are they a loud chicken? i dont want any cockerels, going to buy older birds so i know they are defo hens, any information on them will be fab

i have looked at both breeds and i cant tell the difference, iam not to sure how old he is as i rescued him but i think hes about 1ish he is a stunning duck, i took him to show shows last year for the 1st time and he won his class and got res best in show i was soo proud of him
