It depends I think. Some roosters are fine with a few and some need 10 or 12. Do you free range? If you free range sometimes you can have more than 1 roo with less than 10 or 12 hens.

I have done a bit more research and I think your chick has Twisted Leg. The only treatment I could find was put a brace (like a band-aid) around the legs for a while.
