Hi, I bred a Buff Silkie rooster with some red frizzled cochin hens, in hopes to start sizzle line. However, the first three chicks came out black!? So I'm confused as to how buff and red parents can breed black chicks?

I bought this 4 month old rooster as a chick from the local feed store. I need help with his breed. The most obvious answer would be Golden Sebright. But he has a straight comb instead of a rose comb, so it makes me wonder. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is Boomer the Polish. He reminds me of the woodpecker from Fox & the Hound movie. So he got the woodpeckers name, Boomer. Anyways, i'm not sure if its a roo or pullet, and i know they are hard to tell, but could anyone tell me what gender Boomer is?

It does have a bearded muff, and also has light feathering down its legs to its feet. I've looked them up but can't find any with the coloring on its head like this one. His wings are also look like a gold laced chicken would. any help?
