Okay Ky people need some advice..opinion..suggestions....on feed. I been feeding my chickens Purina all flock raiser and started on layen crumbles..I notice since i bought the last bag there a smell I do not like. Chicken seem to eat good but I also seen where theres more powder than...
If this going to be a permanent place....fix run where chicken can enjoy the ground...do a deep sand method so chicken to scratch around..dust bath and you can rake the poop out of sand. put something on top with support..post in each corner and across top maybe tin... keep rain off chicken and...

It look like a he! I might be wrong wait little longer...usally by the feathers....long and pointy. The combs seem to be redder also. My guess it a ROOSTER! This is for post on page 664.

Hi everyone!! Just found Ky thread!!! Glad to see some posts here. Im learning!!! I have 14 chickens altogether. 10 Buff Orpingtons...Pair of Light Brahmas and one Austrople. Separate pens for them except black Austrople is with my buffs. Next spring Im wanting black orps! anyone has them let me...
Does anyone use sevin dust??? I am not such a big fan using pesticide. I like to use none if possible...I do not use any on my crops due to honeybees I have. i lost three out of 4 this year. My brother told me to use it once in awhile.
Any suggestions or comments??

My 10 buffs are enjoying themselves being free ranging in the yard. My buffs are 8 weeks old.
This light Brahma I posted...I got her from person that ordered chicks and she was only one in that "batch.". I'm wondering if she is more of bantam than big stock. Any opinions????? The picture above.

Just built this coop couple weeks ago out of rough lumber from sawmill. Spent roughly 200.00 to build. Stain with redwood stain. Window I had already. Built a flower box. Putting up the run this week.
