I've had Redcaps for several years. I had both Ideal and McMurray stock and had the best luck with McMurray Redcaps. I have found them to be quite hardy. They do not like damp conditions. They lay right through our Pennsylvania winters. Good luck!

It's been a couple of months. How are the RC Legbars looking now? Curious. Interesting to me... I had 6 cockerels in my spring hatch and one had the floppiest comb... I figured "that's a for sure cull" but two months later he's the only one with a crest and the comb has straightened out...

If you've only had them 1 or 2 weeks don't worry. Sometimes it takes a while to recover from the stress of a move.
