Are your chicks starting to get breast feathers yet? If so I would say putting them in the coop would be ok, ive got 6 chicks out in mine with no lamp, but my coop seals pretty well. If they arent growing breast feathers id leave them inside with fresh litter

    I got mice problems.

Mice are carriers for cholera, idk how susceptible chickens are to it but it will kill a whole flock of turkeys in no time (at least a flock in confinement, never had a free range flock)

    chicks dying

I cleaned that chicks butt as instructed and she seems to be feeling a lil better, but I noticed her eye is swollen shut. When I put her back in the pen another pullet was pecking at it. Is there anything I can do besides isolating her (which ive already done)?

Ive had several chicks die sporadically, all came from the same hatchery (but I bought them at the feed store) none of them have showed any signs of sickness, they just show up dead. Are there any common illnesses this could be from? The last 3 days ive been medicating their water with these...

anyone know of a good breeder/hatchery for americaunans?

I more wanted the pure breds for selling poults. If I start hatching ee as well it will be for a more affordable chick for people to buy. Im gonna wait and see how it works out. I go to a huge swap meet several times a year and chickens sell fast and no one around here breeds blue egg layers so...
