See I know someone that knows how to build a small wind turbine that would produce enough electricity to do what I need so the cost will be small. I just wasn't sure if i would do it the same way you do with solar panels and batteries. Beside doing my very small part for the enviroment.
I want to put a wind turbine on my coop to run my lamps and some other electricity. Has anyone ever done this? What do I need to do this? I want it to be stand alone so I think I will need batteries in the circuit. I am just not exactly sure how this works.
Sometimes hatches just dont go like the hatchery plans. They take orders for what they expect to hatch. Any time you order it is kind of like a lotto. As for Ideal they are GREAT. I had an order that got caught up in shipping, 4 of 25 lived . They just re-sent my entire order and added 2. As for...
The cooler weather might have something to do with it. But then again I live in North Texas and I am still getting eggs everyday. I have a banty sitting on 8 right now.
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows the proper steps i need to take to be able to sell chickens and fertile eggs and such legally in Texas. It would never be very many or anything large scale, but I wanna make sure I am not going to be paying fines do the dang governement. I have banties...
Why can't ya'll let this guy play with his goat in peace. It aint your goat he aint your kid. Just because you have nothing better to do doesn't give you the right to sit here and lecture this guy. It isnt like he trained the goat to do this in the first place. It is a natural insticnt for the...
Man just let these negative comments roll off you back bud. These people are just old and stuffed up in their houses and jealous. All that matters is that you know you weren't hurting the goat and whatever. My cousin and I used to play with one of our grandads bull calfs like this. People gotta...
Ideal is great. Ordered chicks back in december. Post Office screwed up and my chicks arrived 3 days late. Of course i lost most of them. Ideal replaced my entire order no cost to me. Did not lose a single chick from second batch.
It was fun and they are simple. I would suggest getting a second thermometer. Have tin foil available, it is what you use to raise the temperature. PM if you have any questions maybe I have experienced your problem.
I just hatched 2 out of 4 quail eggs in a chick-bator and waiting to see what the other two do. I consider this pretty good considering everything I have seen on these things is negative. Has anyone else had any luck with these? Yes they are more like a toy than a serious bator but I think for...
Is it absolutely necessary to have permits and certificates for me to sell a few chicks that I hatch every once in a while? If it is necessary what all would I need to have? And how do I go about getting these things?
Well if the hen starts to eat the egg and likes it she may start in on the others. And your not going to want any rotten smell that might push the hen off the nest. I would get rid of it.
