Well if the hen starts to eat the egg and likes it she may start in on the others. And your not going to want any rotten smell that might push the hen off the nest. I would get rid of it.

I second the tossing it--sad I know but it happens sometimes. For future reference if you just crack an egg a little while moving them you can melt some candle wax over the crack and still have a good hatch from the egg.

Update: Alright bad news the egg got completely crushed so I took it out and bearied it... poor little chick it didnt even have a chance and I feel really bad because I should have been more careful

Also were could I buy some wax? Could I get it at Hobby Lobby or where?
