Thank you, we treated her and she was doing good until she molted. She just went downhill after that, no symptoms but lethargic and barely eating. She died a few days ago
Don't know, she had bumblefoot about a month ago, we treated it and then she molted and she has just been lethargic since. We had to bring her to her food and water which she barely ate and she lost tons of weight. No other symptoms. She passed away 2 days ago.
I'm not positive on what happened to her but nothing else seemed to be wrong. I also don't know a lot about chicken illnesses. I have no idea who to go to for help if anything else happens
Our hen had bubblefoot about a month ago which we treated at home and it seemed healed up and she was doing good. Then she molted and throughout the weeks she went downhill. We brought her to her food and water daily. She ate and drank half heartedly. Today I found her dead.
Could this be...
My husband said I could get one more hen, so we compromised and we got 4.....hahahaha.

Well I've been wanting to get another girl for awhile but we are definitely waiting. So far my girls seem in great health. I've thought about selling the eggs but so far we just give them away. I have been periodically putting garlic and vinegar in their water to boost their immune systems...
Thank you for the answers,
I also have a question about one of my girls. I noticed a month or so ago that she was coughing, nothing bad and not very often. She seemed good otherwise. What if anything should I do for her?
Also what do I do for this same hen because she is laying wrinkly eggs. We...
Hello, I'm not sure if I missed information on here about this yet. What precautions should backyarders be taking because of the bird flu? Any changes in collecting eggs, free ranging, cleaning coops, etc?
Thanks,
Angela

Finally got signed back in. We got some girls this fall and things are going well. Haven't gotten any eggs in awhile but that's okay. Winter is stressful in me too lol
Well we found some girls finally!!! We get them in a couple weeks. Now I just have to get all my supplies together. We're starting out as newbies so we have some shopping to do this weekend. The coop should be done very soon as long as it stops raining. We've been super busy lately with wedding...
Our coop is coming along. We wanted to make it as"green" as possible by using reclaimed material.
Adam and I both grew up on farms so to make it more personal and unique we are using nest boxes from my family's farm and some limber, windows and hinges from his family's farm. I think it's so bat...
