My babies are almost 2 months and some of my suspected cockerels are pictured below. I’m curious of other opinions on whether or not they look like pullets or cockerels.
I received my chicks in December and they are a little over a month old. I ordered Americauna, Salmon Favorelle, Silver Laced Wynadotte, Golden Laced Wynadotte, Welsummer and Calico Princess. I’m curious if there are any obvoius roos in this bunch? Thanks!
Thanks for the help. I figured it was a cockerel. I can't keep him since I'm in city limits, but it sure is disappointing to have bought an Americauna pullet from my local feed store, to find out it is neither an Americauna or a pullet.
This is one of two Americauna chicks that are two months old. This ones tail feathers are much longer and I think it might be a roo? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm not sure what the black one is. I thought a black australorp, but I'm not really sure. This red one is the only other one that it could be. I have a golden sex link but she is laying and my americauna is older and definitely a hen. Maybe it is the black one...
These chickens are 5 months old. One of them crows a very distinct rooster crow every morning. I believe one of the white birds may be a rooster. Any help identifying who the rooster may be, would be very appreciated.
Below are three more pics of my other 16 week old chicks. I believe I have a Red Sexlink, Gold Sexlink and Black Australorp. All should be pullets but breed and gender help/confirmation would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for the fast responses. My other chickens were a year old when I got them so I have never had chicks/pullets before. I heard a loud squawk this morning coming from the coop. It's hard to describe but it wasn't the normal noise that comes from my hens when they are laying. I figured that...
