3 week old Peachick not feeling well. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank you, Kathy, The temperature outside is 93, and really hasn't dropped below 80. I have started her on Sulmet since this is what I had on hand. I have been syringing her .5ml every hour or so and will bring her to an Avian Vet if need be. Fingers crossed. Thanks again for the guidance.

IYHO, should we add two baby Emu's to our family in two days??

My fiance and I had our name on a waiting list for two baby Emus, and we got the call today. I want to make sure they are the right animals for us, and would appreciate any input. I have read the "perspective Emu owner" thread among others, and have done a fair amount of research so far. A...

Hi, cmom (or anyone who has incubator experience), Since I wasn't planning on buying another incubator, I decided to make one to be used just for hatching the first batch and leaving the second batch in the Hovabator. I followed guidelines, and constructed an incubator and it seems to be...

Thanks AmyLynn2374 and FridayYet... This was the feedback I was hoping for. I am going to play around with getting the temperature more steady- I have a couple of ideas I will play around with and I'd also like to see if my thermometers are all calibrated the same. Hello, I am new to incubating. I purchased a Hovabator Genesis 1588 with turner and was gifted 26 Serama eggs and all was good in the world. This was Monday. On Wednesday afternoon, I got a call that the dozen Cream Legbar eggs that I had been waiting for were ready, and so I picked them up...

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Thank you to all who chimed in about the humidity. I got to the replies a little late, and had already put my 26 eggs in the incubator with water in the middle trough. The humidity has been steady at 42%. I was told the eggs were between a day and two week old, so in ten days I will try to use...

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Cmom: thanks- I emptied the water tray and after a few hours, humidity was 38%. I thought that may be too low based on what I read, so I added water to one channel and this morning it is 43%. Is that considered too low? The documents state that egg setting humidity was to be between...

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Hi, MacLeod22, My first two chickens were Red Stars. Utilizing the resources the internet, particularly BYC, I researched excessively about choosing a breed that was a dependable layer of large eggs, not broody, and not "flighty". I got them as day old chicks off of daytona craigslist and at...

Thank you, Cluckies, I tried to, but got a message stating I didn't have the permission to do so- the Admins told me I needed to have a little more activity on the site before I can make a coop page. Even though I have been a member since March, I did more research as opposed to posting...

Hello, All! This is my Peachick, Ashley, who was hatched on July 23rd and came to live with us on September 28th. Ashley was 9 weeks old then, and from the first day, was very frightened of us. We tried to show as much love as possible, and I even had Ashley in my office on my lap for four...
