Orpingtons all the way!!! Although my Dels are great too! But Orpingtons have a disposition unmatched by any other breed I have encountered. They are so lovable and true pets!!!!!

Usually by 5 weeks you can tell. The roos will have obvious red wattles and comb, while the girls won't.

Sponges work well, and so do warm wet washcloths. Also, you can spritz the eggs with warm water just before lockdown.
